Vic was born and raised in Idlib, Syria. From a young age, he felt guided by The Holy Spirit, which led him to believe he had no future in the Middle East. At the age of 12, this realization began to shape his path.
By the time Vic was 18, he was attending school in Damascus, Syria, and had become the sole Arabic language tutor to top personnel at the US Embassy there. After completing his more than two-year mandatory draft in the Syrian Army, he left Syria and moved to Kuwait. In 1963, he became the Assistant to the Commercial/Economic Attaché of the US Embassy in Kuwait.
Vic moved to the United States to pursue higher education. He attended Hope College in Holland, MI, from 1964 to 1967 and completed his MBA at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in May 1969.
Chase recruited Vic directly from graduate school. In 1969, he joined the company and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the 2nd Vice President in 1971, managing a commercial loan portfolio worth over $100 million. In 1973, Dana Corporation recruited him to head their International Finance function in Toledo, OH.
In the late 1970s to 1990s, Vic started his own financial and management company, which operated globally, including in Europe, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines. He also managed a group headquartered in Manchester, U.K.
In 2023, Vic relocated to Anderson, IN, where his oldest son and family had lived for decades. He is now launching a non-profit entity.
